Fall 2012: Game 2 v Mantua Twp SC "Thrashers"

This was a tough fought game for the girls today. Poor Quinn was still not feeling good and pulled herself out of the game shortly after it started. While her absence was felt, big props to Remy who stepped back from the her mid-field posisition and filled in.

The majority of the game was fought keeping ball off our half of the field. We had only three legitimate shots on goal. One being a beautiful foul shot from Jillian that unfortunatley connected with the upper cross bar. It would definatley been in the net on a regular size goal. The mid-field and front line continued to miss first touch opertunities, and had problems maintaining posession. Anna had some beautiful punts that didn't land until well after mid-field. Unfortunatly the girls weren't anticipating these great kicks and therefore not getting to them first. These are all things we will be focusing on in practice.

On another note the girls were aggressive and with out this and their persistance the score most definately would have been higher. Mantua was a well disciplined and skilled team and they worked hard for their win.
